Spring in Lucerne has a special energy. One that makes you breathe slower, want to walk further, and invites you to enjoy your coffee longer while swans glide across the water. For a luxurious yet relaxed getaway, the Lucerne lakeshore is peaceful and restorative – especially in light, elegant looks that reflect the season.
Afternoon tea or champagne lunch at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne – a Belle Époque hotel, formerly the Palace hotel, directly on Lake Lucerne, which reopened after extensive renovation with great attention to historical detail and an eye for modern understatement. The curved staircase in the entrance area is a real highlight. And every corner of the building was designed to direct the view outside: to the lake, the city, and the mountains.
For lunch by the lake, I wore the Denim Shirt with Lace Embroidery. Feminine, clean, and with just enough detail to stand out – as beautiful with baggy jeans as with a skirt. Ideal for an afternoon with a champagne glass and sun on your skin.
The weekend looks were characterized by Ermanno Scervino – airy, architecturally cut silhouettes in luxurious fabrics. Exactly the kind of fashion that is never loud, but always present. Light enough for a stroll by the lake, but elegant enough for lunch or an evening drink.
White Maxi Skirt with Embroidery combined with the Light Denim Shirt with Embroidery – available in three delicate shades. A look made for spring sun and wind in your hair.
Printed Blouse – finest material, delicate floral print, the perfect balance of elegance and casualness.
Jacquard Shorts, worn with the embroidered denim shirt – ideal for relaxed hours on the terrace or reading in the sun.

Lucerne itself is a dream – compact, beautiful, and wonderfully walkable. From the hotel, it's just a few minutes' walk to the famous Chapel Bridge, through the Old Town, or along the promenade. The view of the snow-capped peaks in the background remains in your memory.
And Lucerne is also a little paradise for dogs. The Mandarin Oriental welcomes four-legged guests with treats, a dog bed, and bowls. The city itself offers many walking paths, green spaces, and pleasant encounters along the way.
Travel tip: Lucerne can be reached from Zurich in just one hour by train – from the train station, it's just a few minutes' walk or a short taxi ride to the hotel. Perfect for a spontaneous two-day trip.
Whether it's Mother's Day or simply a break for yourself – Lucerne is worth a trip. Especially when style, lightness, and nature come together in such an elegant way.
