Facial Steaming is a gentle way to cleanse and purify your skin. The warmth and humidity of the steam opens up the pores and draws out impurities and toxins. It is a great way to prepare the skin for extractions and/or your favorite face mask which will penetrate even deeper applied right after the steaming. Chamomile is wonderful for sensitive and acne prone skin. Its powerful anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiseptic properties, diminish breakouts, minor scars and wounds. It promotes a healthy glow as it heals and restores the skins natural moisture content.
Lemongrass acts as an astringent tonic and provides a temporary skin-firming effect on the skin. It has powerful anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties, meaning it will limit bacterial growth on the skin and help combat acne.
Orange Peel has potent astringent properties, treats blackheads, acne, and is packed with Vitamin C, a natural antioxidant and skin brightener.
Ritual: Add 1 tablespoon of the dried floral and herb blend to a large bowl or pan and cover with 3-4 cups of boiling water. Set aside for about 5 minutes and let steep. Drape a towel over your head and lean in over the bowl forming a kind of tent so the steam can't escape. Relax and let the healing properties of the herbs + flowers work their magic on your skin.
